Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

Stability Shoes Reimagined From The Ground Up
Breaking the Mold
Pronation is essential to our normal gait, but for some runners, uncontrolled overpronation may lead to problems. For decades, lab studies have noted a correlation between overpronation – especially excessive foot eversion – and lower limb complaints. Historically this insight led many brands down the route of heavy motion control shoes. These shoes incorporate a rigid support structure within the medial side of the rearfoot and under the arch to control heel eversion and increase rearfoot stability. However, we believe there is something more important that requires our focus.
Research, Rethink, Run
Our biomechanics research revealed that runners who experience discomfort associated with overpronation tend to display excessive forefoot abduction. Normal forefoot function is vital for pain-free running as the forefoot spends more time in contact with the ground, experiences higher peak pressure, and acts as a rocker during propulsion. If we truly wish to manage complaints related to overpronation, we need to look towards the forefoot.
3D Archrail: A Stable Revolution
These findings led us to develop our groundbreaking 3D Archrail technology: a flexible support structure that significantly reduces peak forefoot abduction angles and activates the abductor hallucis muscle in the arch of your foot. The result is a revolution in stability that helps you to achieve better foot balance for irritation-free running.

I was eager to try these trainers after seeing them support a race i completed in Greece - the Heyday Ultra Race.
I live in Cyprus but had to wait for my visit to the UK to finally collect them.
I am a petite lady with slim feet and i over pronate, running any distance from 5 miles to ultras. Over the last few months i have tried several brands as i found my usual go to - Asics Kayano were getting bulkier and no longer suited my feet after the 29th edition.
Pleased and relieved to report the trainers are slipper comfortable after the first 7 mile run. No issues on toe off or pronation. I like how the whole sole feels supported and energised (not always possible with support shoes).
Hopefully the trainers will last the next few training loads and races.
Only downside is the access to the brand in Cyprus/Greece.
Support comfortable and supportive. I also enjoy the design.
Best running shoes I’ve ever owned they are so comfortable
Usually I buy running shoes and I can just tell instantly I won’t have them for long or my feet will get tired. Not with the P1s. Even light pogo jumps feel like I’m using less energy and I’m just floating steadily on a brisk walk or sprints. Highly recommend!
I’ve been training for a marathon and honestly pushed off buying decent shoes for too long. My coach recommended these and I can truly feel the difference in quality! I am very happy with them so far and hope to test their mileage expectations. I went up a half size because I swell when on my feet for a long time.
I was a bit skeptical at first as I've been devoted to the Brooks Adrenaline for over 10 years. I have low to no arches and have always needed a stability shoe. This shoe does not feel bulky or heavy. Only wish there were more color options. Would highly recommend
I've only ran in them once for 6 miles. They were light and i could feel the support. I have sick feet and I couldn't feel the strains from running the distance. I out ran my stamina lol. I ran also faster without realizing it until I was done. I'm looking forward to seeing how I grow and the shoes last.
Like trampolines in your shoes.
I’ve had these shoes for about 2 months now. I’ve put over 100 miles on them and they’ve held up amazingly. I have struggled with over pronation my entire life, and because of it have had to deal with constant shin splints. With the cushion and support of these shoes my shin splint pain has almost completely subsided. They only con that I’ve seen with these shoes is the toe box is a little narrow if you have wide feet. To solve that I would go a half size up to give a little more room for the piggies. I highly recommend these shoes!
Upfront, I love the Mount to Coast P1s.
I suffer from intense, knife-through-the-foot type pain. My Podiatrist doesn't think the P1s provide enough stability for my feet and the condition I have. Yet, I still prefer the P1s for comfort over the stability shoes my podiatrist prescribed. My Podiatrist with over 30 years of experience, twisted my P1s (a couple of days after receiving them) to evaluate the level of stability they provided. I was displeased to watch him torque on my new P1s. Humorously, his initial effort didn't create enough give in the P1s for his satisfaction; so he put more effort into his second effort to torque on them. Is there room for added improvement in stability in the P1s? Perhaps there is, but because of their comfort and style; I will continue using them.
I am an older runner and stopped running for a a few years due to injuries and discomfort. I saw the Mount to Coast on Instagram and ordered the P1. WOW!!! like no other shoe I have had before. I actually feel like I may be able to run half marathons again. I am very pleased and very happy to have found this amazing shoe.
The P1 does a great job giving a comfortable stable fun ride. I haven’t worn a stability shoe in many years cause the stability features get in the way of being able to enjoy the run. On very sore legs after running a 100k a few days before getting these shoes (unfortunately they came a couple of days too late to use them in the race) I ran 8 miles and my legs felt better than before the run. A few days later I took them out for another 9 miles and did a 4 mile tempo run in the middle. I’m a believer.
I have dealing with aplastar Fasciitis for more than a year and I have spent so much money, time and faith due this condition. The worst comes when you can do your normal activities as anyone else. These tennis shoes put you back on track, super comfy, very neutral, you foot pronation stops, you don’t feel anything weird under your foot, no corners, no lumps, no stitches, no marks, no pressure, no pain. I have no words to say more, but for those out there suffering any foot related condition, you won’t need any other shoe, this is the deal and you will find no regrets. I promise you. Everything advertised about these shoes is pure scientific engineering! I can’t wait to buy future colors!
Great shoe but for 12 hr shifts at hospital fast walking for almost the whole shift they need a little more toe box room and mid foot room .
Tested these out after a quick 5 miles in my other shoes. I really wanted to see if there was a difference. Wow! My legs felt fresher after the shoe change!
My feet and ankles have been a mess for a while now. I had given up all hope that I’d find a stabilizing shoe that would help with my pain and swelling. Then I found the P1. These shoes have given me a new lease on life! They offer both incredible support and comfort in an extremely light shoe.
Get fit, light shoe with a great look. They are very squeaky, I’m hoping that’s just because they’re brand new. Anyone else having this issue?
In the off season I like to get back into short jogs a few times a week and honestly, the shoe is perfect for me because of its wide toe Box. I don’t feel like my feet are being crammed. And I am able to run safely without feeling unstable.
Comfortable, breathable, chic, appears well built - will have to put some miles on it.
Great running walking shoes. I didn’t give it a perfect score because for my feet there is too much room in the toe box. A fair score is actually 4,5 stars.
I don't like the toe cap. The one on R1 is perfect as it only extends up. On the P1 it extends up and over, and sometimes digs into the big toe, if you have a big toe like mine. That said, everything else about this shoe is sublime. There is definitely a distinct sensation you feel under your forefoot. I am guessing that's the newly engineered tech M2C is talking about. I am a squarely midfoot striker, and the landing feels stable. The foam is not squishy which is what I prefer. It is quite forgiving for bad landings too. The upper is soft and accommodating for my wider toes. you can get a wicked lock down with the laces if you choose. I prefer the one on the R1 better but this is my third fav of all times. That toe cap though.... I just doesn't work for me.
I bought your P1 for women and I would like to know how to clean them ?
Thank you !
Hi Emmanuelle, you can wash them in a washing machine, or use a brush to clean them with mild soap and water.
