Mount to Coast is a performance footwear brand rooted in long-distance running. We create shoes that meet the standards of the world’s toughest races and allow ultrarunners to test their limits.

We began work on our first prototype ultrarunning shoe.

Nov 2023

Our prototype won the ISPO Award 2023.

Mar 2024

Justin Montague completed the 854-mile URL JOGLE race in a single pair of R1s, breaking every stage and overall course record.

Apr 2024

We officially launched our brand in the US.

May 2024

Named “Best New Brand 2024” by Believe in the Run.

Oct 2024

Cameron Balser completed his 11,170-mile run around the US, finishing the final third in the R1s.

Oct 2024

Meg Eckert broke women’s world record of Backyard Ultra, running the road section in the R1s.

Nov 2024

The R1 was named “Best Overall Running Shoes for Men” by GearJunkie.

May 2025

Meg Eckert shattered women’s 6-day world record in the R1s, covering 603 miles (971 km).

Jun 2025

Matthieu Bonne broke the 29-year-old 48-hour world record in the R1s with 301 miles (485 km).

We released our first trail shoe T1.

The T1 was named one of the “Best Trail Running Shoes (Best Daily Workhorse)” by Outside Magazine.

We released our collab shoe R135 with Badwater® 135, the world’s toughest footrace.
