Bonne to do it.

Matthieu Bonne is a professional record breaker. From swimming to cycling to running, he’s made endurance his superpower – he even has the record for the most basketball free-throws in 24 hours. When he’s targeting a running record, like the 48-hour record he broke in 2025, Matthieu retreats to Kenya, where the altitude and simple life make for productive training. Known for his incredible mileage, Matthieu’s schedule often calls for back-to-back days of 100 km – precisely the kind of extreme training where the C1 excels.

Featured

The super trainer, energized.

The C1 features a dual layer midsole, utilizing a generous layer of our sustainable CircleCELL foam above a rubberized EVA bottom layer that provides the stability you need to go beyond. CircleCELL is the same supercritical foam used in our award-winning H1, delivering energy return on par with PEBA-based foams, while providing double PEBA’s running lifespan.

Stability, elevation, enlightenment.

Despite its wide, stable stance and dual-layer midsole, the C1 comes in at a feathery 9.4 oz / 267 g (US M9), because long distance performance shouldn’t weigh you down. Featuring a 42 mm stack height and 6 mm drop, the C1 is optimized to let you push your limits of speed and distance in training, so that race day comes easy.

Tune in, don’t drop out.

The TUNEDFIT Dual Lacing System offers separately customizable fit for the forefoot and midfoot. Because we know that in the ultrarunner’s pursuit of distance, feet can swell and change shape, and having a shoe that can adapt to those changes on the fly can be the difference between minor discomfort and injury. With TUNEDFIT you can enjoy the ride and channel your focus to the miles ahead.

Best shoes ever

I’ve been really happy with my Comfy running shoes. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and provide good cushioning for everyday runs and walks. The fit feels supportive without being too tight, and they’re comfortable even after wearing them for several hours. For the price, they offer great value and have held up well so far. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable pair of running shoes.

Absolutely great long distance shoe

Absolutely great long distance shoe. Straight out the box comfort and handles long miles easily. Comfort all day and the best toe box in a road shoes I’ve experienced. Alongside the H1 you don’t need anything else for long distance ultra life.

Scarpa solida e protettiva

Scarpa solida e protettiva.

First buying M2C and I am impressed with the C1

First buying M2C and I am impressed with the C1. I find it provides plenty of the cushioning I need as an 87kg runner without the marshmallow squish, however in the price bracket in which it sits I would expect no less. The two part lacing system is excellent and genuinly supports a better fit and easy adjustability on the move. Styling is very much an individual thing, but the C1 in white is very much my taste. The size chart is correct and it is best to measure your feet in cm and select your size accordingly. Will buy this brand again.

A dream for my wide feet

I am now up to 50 miles in my C1’s and can honestly say they seem to come more alive as the miles have gone up.
As someone with a wider forefoot - it’s the first time in as long as I can remember that a shoe just feels instantly comfortable without any feeling in either side of my foot and don’t even think about them once they are on my feet.
Looking forward to wearing these for my upcoming 70 mile ultra marathon in a few weeks!

All Around Clouds

Love these shoes! I remember when the R1s first came out, and I got them just because of the innovative technology, and I had been looking for a shoe that could truly go the distance. They lived up to the ultra-distance name while the Lightcell was fresh, but inevitably packed out and weren't as enjoyable to run in after a couple of hundred miles. Although they were still capable. Plus, they lacked the responsiveness that I really enjoy in running shoes. And they were quite loud.

After trying the H1s, I fell in love with the Circlecell foam and had nothing but extreme comfort and responsive foam for hundreds and hundreds of miles. So when the C1s came out, I had to give them a go.

The C1's are truly the perfect mix of the R1 and H1, combining the best of both worlds. A thick cloud-like all-arounder that can really do it all. And it is still very lightweight for all that shoe! I have been able to use it at tempo pace, easy pace, steep incline, and decline. I have used it on the road, track, and even taken it on some light trails. Not very often that you come across a shoe that performs so well across the board and looks great at the same time! It's everything I wanted the R1 to be and more. The 7-degree offset in the midsole is honestly one of the most creative game-changing features to add stability that I've ever seen. Instead of a plate, which I'm honestly not a big fan of, this adds a great amount of stability that makes the shoe feel like a neutral and stability shoe at the same time. Without having the downsides of a stability shoe, if you enjoy a neutral shoe. And they are extremely quiet!

Overall, these are a great all-arounder that I don't see leaving my rotation anytime soon. Highly recommend!
